On Friday 30 August the costs to operate one day of care in the Sir Tom Cowie Day Care Centre and a full day of care in the Helen McArdle In-Patient Wing have been kindly donated by in loving memory of Marlene Grigg.
Today would have been Marlene’s 71st Birthday.
Marlene passed away suddenly on 3 November after a very short illness and is greatly missed by her husband of almost 29 years, George, her beloved daughter, Lisa, Grandson Grant and Great-Grandson, Leo.
Born and bred in Dipton, Marlene was an incredibly popular and kind lady with a heart of gold. She lived for her family; Lisa, Grant and Leo were her whole world.
Never happier than when she was organising or attending table-top sales in aid of local charities, Marlene was a beloved friend and an incredible supporter of the Willow Burn family, always dropping in with beautiful handmade items to sell in The Potting Shed or to donate to our events.
Marlene is greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
