On Thursday 1 June the costs to operate Day Services have been donated in loving memory of Andrew Westgarth.
In memory of Andrew, family and friends have donated to give a Gift of Day Care.
I was asked if there was a special day, to which I replied "any Thursday". Andrew attended the day patient unit for nearly two years and Thursdays were the highlight of the week for him, nothing or no one could stop him from coming to Willow Burn. He loved his Thursday group and became very fond of the rest of the group and loved the staff, he was always very proud of the crafts he made especially his pumpkins.
Willow Burn has been a huge part of our lives over the last two years, they have been a great support to both Andrew and myself.
Andrew passed away in Willow Burn in March this year, the care was outstanding.
It is difficult to put into words the overwhelming gratitude I have to all the staff and volunteers of Willow Burn for the care, support and friendship.
