This December, we are very proud to launch three films in a Christmas series, where Stephenson Stonehouse opens up about his personal journey as a son, when he heard his mam would be spending her final days at Willow Burn Hospice.
As well as sharing his Willow Burn story and how he feels about the hospice through his lived experience, he also shares a deeply personal and precious memory, a special moment between him and his mam just two days before she died.
All three of Stephen's films can be viewed here: Stephen's Willow Burn Stories
Throughout the films, Stephen also speaks about the incredible respect staff show for one another and how truly listened to and cared for he felt throughout his time at Willow Burn with his mam. It’s a powerful reminder that hospice care is about people and the relationships that make all the difference.
With sincere thanks to Stephen Stonehouse, Derwentside's beloved Santa Ste, for being so generous with his time at his busiest time of year. Santa Ste has pledged his support to his Local Hospice. He has already been fundraising with friends across the community and will even be hosting a Toy Making Workshop at Willow Burn Hospice on Christmas Eve.
Santa Ste and Layla Naugher have also released a brand-new Christmas single to raise funds for two charities close to his heart. For just £2, you can get the official new double A-side featuring “Do You Hear What I Hear” and Layla’s beautiful cover of “Christmas Always Finds Me.” All proceeds go directly to Calli's Heart Campaign and Willow Burn Hospice and every purchase counts toward the Official UK Charts!

**Please note: These films have not been created for young children who know Stephen as Santa Ste, as we want to preserve the magic of Christmas for our younger supporters.**
