On Tuesday 29 November the costs to operate the Helen McArdle In-Patient Wing have been donated in loving memory of John Wingfield.
"Today would have been John’s 78th birthday.
John was a hard working, family man who was born and lived his whole life in Lanchester. He sadly died on 13th September this year and one of his wishes was that family and friends donate to Willow burn in lieu of funeral flowers.
We were astonished at the generosity of all those who gave in his name and are so proud that this day has been dedicated to him.
Happy birthday John, we miss you dearly."
