Members of Consett and District Sunderland Supporters’ Association increase their fundraising total to £49,500 with latest donation for Willow Burn Hospice of £3500.
Over the many years as supporters of the hospice, the Consett and District SA has fundraised through various events, including a talk-ins, annual barbeques and raffles.
David Barker, Director at Willow Burn Hospice said: "It was an absolute pleasure to attend and say thank you in person to the members at Consett SAFC Supporters Association. Long-term support like this is so valuable to the financial sustainability of the hospice. The money will play a huge part in helping us to deliver much-needed care for people living in Derwentside with a life-limiting illness."
The event on Saturday (1 July 2023) raised a phenomenal £1875 and starts the fundraising for next season.
The Consett and District Sunderland Supporters’ Association was founded in 1995 and since then amassed hundreds of members. They provide transport to all home fixtures at the Stadium of Light, while also hosting various fundraising events throughout the year.
