Helen is smashing her 'Six before 60 Challenge'
A competitive runner, Helen has travelled the world to support some amazing organisations such as Street Child Sierra Leone Marathon, Childreach Nepal Impact Marathon and the Children's Cancer Fund who were amazing in supporting her grandson, Connor through his Leukemia treatment.
Helen started working at Willow Burn earlier this year and saw first-hand the incredible work of the Nursing & Care Team at Willow Burn Hospice and decided it was time to dust off the running shoes and take on some more challenges!
Before her 60th Birthday later this year, Helen is taking on six incredible challenges to raise funds and awareness for Willow Burn Hospice. She has recently took part in her third challenge at Gibside; a 10k trail run with some very steep hills, but she still managed to do it with a smile whilst taking in the beautiful scenery
