2025 marks 35 years since Willow Burn Hospice was officially opened by H.R.H The Duchess of Kent. Willow Burn was made possible by founders Valerie Davison and Irene Mortimer, a grant from the Cancer Relief Macmillan Fund and by the generosity of local people.

Over 35 years, Willow Burn has seen a lot of changes, new faces, new services and a brand new hospice and community hub. One thing that hasn’t changed is that generosity from local people. Willow Burn is part of a community where we treasure lives and everyone is supported to live well and die well. Your support enables our team of doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants and counsellors to deliver hospice care of the highest standard to our patients and those important to them.

The Willow Burn Hospice Gala 2025, will be a true celebration of all that has made Willow Burn what it is today.
